I agree with so much in this article except the assumption that high intrinsic motivation correlates to an aversion to extrinsic reward. Let’s be explicit that it’s not acceptable to leverage high intrinsic motivation to underpay. I’ve seen and experienced this and know it to be a key component in wage gap issues.
